News & Events

To date, BCDF has completed the production of seven films. These projects include Oscar-winning talent (e.g., Jane Fonda, Olympia Dukakis, Melissa Leo) and Oscar-nominated talent (e.g., Bruce Beresford, Vera Farmiga, Catherine Keener, Virginia Madsen, John Hawkes, Richard Jenkins, and Jesse Eisenberg), Screen Actors Guild Award–winning Tracy Morgan, and Golden Globe–nominated Kirsten Dunst.

We are proud to have had five of our first seven productions accepted for premiere in international film festivals: Higher Ground (Sundance 2011), Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding (Toronto 2011), Bachelorette (Sundance 2012), Liberal Arts (Sundance 2012), and Predisposed (Sundance 2012).

The worldwide rights for our first film, Higher Ground, were acquired by Sony Pictures Classics. IFC acquired North American rights to Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding, Liberal Arts, and Predisposed. Additionally, the North American rights to the comedy Bachelorette were acquired by The Weinstein Company’s Radius label.
